About the Program
The program is designed to create citywide business leaders who have the
business acumen to deliver goods and services to their community and
beyond.
The world has never been more in need of students, business and community
leaders who are trying to make a difference than it is today...and this is the
very definition of entrepreneurs. The goal of an entrepreneur is to sell
products and services, but this is just one piece of the entire puzzle. To
become successful at it, they have to identify the real needs and problems of
people and solve them.
In addition to encouraging people, entrepreneurship education requires
learners to be innovative, creative, and collaborative with others. The confidence that the student and community small business leaders will gain, will impact the economic sustainability of their neighborhoods. The learners will have the skill sets to grow their communities and increase the available pool of skilled professionals.
Eligibility Criteria
APPLICANTS MUST:

Applicant must currently live in or plan to establish a business in East Winston-Salem

Applicant must submit two letters of recommendation

Applicant must submit a 500-word essay on the following:
“As an executive entrepreneur, what will be the legacy impact that you will bring to your community?”
Applications for the Playbook for Entrepreneurial Excellence will be accepted beginning January 22nd through February 7th 2020. Successful candidates will be notified by mail and must accept their slot by February 14th, 2020.
